Sartoria is a selections platform for custom homebuilders. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell your data, and you can take your data with you at any time.
Who this covers
This policy applies to builders who hold a Sartoria account and to the homeownerswhose selections a builder manages in the product. For the homeowner data a builder enters, the builder is the party that decides how it is used; Sartoria processes it on the builder’s behalf to run the service.
Information we collect
- ·Account information. The details a builder provides to set up and sign in — business name, contact information, and login credentials.
- ·Project and selection data. The homes, rooms, options, allowances, prices, notes, approvals, and documents a builder creates, along with the client information a builder chooses to add (such as a homeowner’s name, email, or phone for a project link).
- ·Usage and technical data. Basic information needed to operate and secure the service, such as a sign-in session cookie, request logs, and error diagnostics.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. The only cookie the product sets is the one that keeps a builder signed in.
How we use information
- ·To provide, maintain, and improve the selections platform.
- ·To generate the selection documents, client links, and records the product produces.
- ·To secure the service, prevent abuse, and back up data against loss.
- ·To respond to support requests and communicate about the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of vetted providers to run the product. They process data only to provide services to us, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- ·Cloud hosting and application infrastructure.
- ·Encrypted, off-site database backups.
- ·Payment processing, where a builder chooses to collect payments through the product.
- ·Scheduling, for booking a consultation from our website.
When a builder’s selection catalog references product photos, those images may be loaded from the vendors’ own websites. We otherwise disclose information only when a builder directs us to, or where required by law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited and authenticated, and databases are backed up to independent locations so a single failure cannot erase a builder’s work. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the product to protect the information builders and homeowners entrust to it.
Data retention, export, and deletion
A builder can export a full copy of their selection data at any time. We retain project data for as long as a builder maintains an account, and we will delete a builder’s data on request within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.
Homeowners
If you are a homeowner and received a selections link from your builder, your builder controls that project and the information in it. To access, correct, or delete your information, contact your builder. We will assist our builders in honoring those requests.
Children
Sartoria is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
